SpiceJet has a fleet of four Boeing 737-900 ERs, 28 Boeing 737-800s, three Boeing 737-700s and 22 Bombardier Q400s. These aircraft help the airline maintain greater efficiency in its operations.

Onboard Services

For a nominal fee, you can savour a hearty meal onboard. This service is available on all domestic as well as international SpiceJet flights. Moreover, you can also get extra leg-room, priority check-in, priority boarding and priority baggage handling along with complimentary meal and beverage onboard. Baggage Policy

Cabin Baggage

Passengers on international and domestic SpiceJet flights are allowed 7 kg baggage in the cabin. This allowance is inclusive of all duty-free shopping bags as well as laptops. Furthermore, the linear dimensions, which is the sum of length, breadth and height, of any single bag should not exceed 115 cm on Boeing flights. And, the maximum linear dimensions for any cabin bag on Bombardier flights in 108 cm. In case you are travelling with an infant, you may carry one additional bag not weighing or measuring more than the restrictions mentioned above.

Checked-in Baggage

On all domestic flights, SpiceJet airlines offers 15 kg free checked baggage allowance. Fare Type Change Fee may be charged by the air passenger carrier at the time of check-in in case you have booked hand-baggage only fare and wish to check-in baggage.

The check-in baggage allowance on SpiceJet operated international flights varies with the route. While passengers headed to Male and Bangkok can check-in 20 kg baggage, those headed to Muscat, Colombo, Dubai and Kabul have a baggage allowance of 30 kg. The airline does not have any restriction on the number of bags a passenger can check-in. However, the linear or overall dimensions of the bags should not exceed 158 cm. Any bag, not complying with the policy will invite an extra charge.

Although this is the current baggage policy of the airline, SpiceJet holds the right to change the same without any prior notice. Therefore, you must check the latest baggage allowance before you start packing for your journey.
